Last Saturday was a wonderful sunny afternoon on Paris.  After living in Paris for over 4 years now I decided to spend a tourist afternoon in gay Paris.  I have always wondered if there were any old all black quarters in Paris.  One thing that amazes me about Europe is that during colonization and the slave trade, people say that Europeans never brought the colonized/slaves to Europe.  I love history and would really love to find out if this is true.

This is why the above picture is so appealing to me.  I was just walking down the street in the 2eme when for some reason I looked up and saw this painting on a building.  It seems to be remnant of a time once forgotten.  It was intriguing to think about why the image was there?  What kind of establishment was there in times past? It was like time travelling and thinking of the neighbourhood during the time of which this picture meant something to it’s surroundings?  As well as why know one removed this image?  Hmm I just wanted to share.  Enjoy!
