Départment Féminin

Départment Féminin

Now that the sales in Paris and London are a week old I have to put my 2 cents in. They suck! Don’t the retailers know we are all broke! The prices I have been seeing are outrageous. I have done the sales in both Paris and London and actually got better deals and spent less money in London go figure.

When it comes to sales I have a plan, I only buy what I need, or something that I desire. I am over buying just to buy. I have to admit that I skipped the Colette sale for the first time, since I lived in Paris. A sale is not a sale these day’s.

Well I was able to catch one really good sale here in Paris actually before the sales started in stores. It was the YSL de-stockcage sale. I was not lucky enough to get an invite for the real Vente Privé, but I am not complaining. I bought a fabulous hot pink pencil skirt that actually fit me!! For only 20€. As well as an amazing pair of purple-wedged sandals for 60€ even though they are last year I still love my purchases.

In London I went to Primark and got sandals for £6 each. I just could not bring myself to buying a pair of mid-range sandals for like 60 €.

I also bought a cute yellow shirt dress for £ 5, better then the prices at Mango where shirt dress are still going for 29€.

I just cannot pay that price when I got an YSL skirt for less. I am the intelligent and stylish shopper.

OH and Uniqlo in London had the greatest sale jeans for £6-10, of course I bought 2 pairs being the Jean queen I am.

Now I’m tired of the sales in the stores, tired of commuting from store to store, for high street items. When all I want is a long pretty dress and have decided it is time for a new designer handbag. So I have turned to shopping online know one to bother me, just me, my Mac, and my Credit Card. If all else fails I am headed to Bellville.

My 2nd find of the day is Départment Féminin they deliver all over the world and have some of the best designers Alaïa, Balenciaga, Chloé, Marc Jacobs, Marni, Lanvin + more. It is still a bit pricey, but it is ok to look and think about the day when I have a great job and money does not matter, or I work for the designer and I get it for free. Here’s to dreaming. Oh and they deliver worldwide! http://www.departementfeminin.com

Their Story

“Offline, shopping is a social activity. So there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be a social activity online too. MyFaveShop started because we wanted to create a place where people could design their ultimate shop, filled with stuff they love – where they could talk about products and brands, get advice, share tips, connect with friends and meet new ones.

So in 2007, in a humble little mews house in the heart of Mayfair, MyFaveShop was born.”
