IDentiDie Tillman Lauterbach S/S 09

without comments

Tillmann Lauterbach S/S 09 showed in Paris and Tillman was inspired by his last trip to Addis Ababa Ethiopia. The collection reflects how we deal with fallen grace and the lost identity of our times. Lauterbach hopes his clothes will arouse us to change direction.

The suits are roughly tucked and belted at the waist, emphasizing a reclusive attitude. Shoulders are oversized revealing the handmade shoulder pads as a form of modern embroidery. These wears are meant to be works in progress allegory for the state of transition that the world seems to be stuck in. Special bleached and coated Italian nappa completes the vintage silhouette, which adds an exclusive texture and polish. Tillman Lauterbach gives us a simply funky collection that is wearable. Raf Simons Paris Men S/S 09

without comments

Raf Simons decided to use the style of New York artist Christopher Wool as the inspiration for his Men’s S\S 09 collection; he Graffiti words by Leonard Cohen in the courtyard of the educational institution where he staged his latest show. The location was off the hook!!!

Raf sent embroidered tops, with coloured threads trailing like a delicate fringe down the hallway of he institute. His mews were Cohen and Wool, Simons also had in mind Robert Ryman, all of them “artists who dedicate life to the slight evolution of things.”
All that is Raf Simons, keeping it street, clean and well tailored, with the mesh du-rags and flip flop cut out shoes, and the man bag. Accessories for men are the in “It” bags.
